As the history and social groups researcher, I collaborated with a team of 20 to develop the Bronzeville Community Plan studio project.
The goal was to compose and offer practical professional advice on real-world problems, while leading discussions and managing meetings, frame research questions, and manage stressful work environments and work effectively as planning teams.
Key takeaways from my research was the importance of Bronzeville's history to both the community and greater Chicago, and how the community could leverage this strength.
This report examined the current conditions of the Bronzeville community located on Chicago’s Southside, utilizing history as a central element of Bronzeville’s cultural power, in a sustainability framework to address the community’s economic, environmental, and social values.
This community plan was completed for my Masters in Urban Planning and Policy core course Plan Making Studio.
As the Presentation Team Leader, I had to clearly and powerfully grab our audience's attention while also ensuring they left with important takeaways about our plan.
